Get ready for an entire college experience in three days! From orientation to graduation, you’ll be immersed in the spirit and atmosphere of all the “good parts” of college. Pick your Major, join a “Alien Frarority,” and get your Master’s in “Fanology.” All you have to do is have fun, and you’ll graduate with honors! Don’t forget your Toga!
This year we are adding a free Old Time Radio Listening Lounge, including panels and discussion on the history and impact of the "Theater Of The Mind." We will also be exploring the impact of British Science Fiction in Film, Television and Radio with the British New Wave Video Room with programming panels and discussion, and free screenings of select treasures often unseen in the US -- all open to the public. Look also for our free Anime room with expanded tracks of programming and discussion. CosPlay fans are welcome to be their favorite character for the weekend. We look foward to seeing you here!
KaCSFFS has thrown an annual convention every year beginning in 1972. In 1980 the name was changed from BYOB-Con to ConQuesT! Thus the legend that is ConQuesT began. It occurs every Memorial Day weekend, Friday through Sunday, with attendees from all over the midwest and even the coasts, and the great folks around Kansas City. All who attend make lasting friendships that are lived out a bit more over every Memorial Day Weekend. There are all kinds of authors, artists, other special guests and characters who return year after year to enjoy that great Kansas City hospitality, fun and fellowship.
Each year we have an Author, Artist and Fan GoH, (a soon to be announced) Special Guest, and Toastmaster. And all the great stuff that you have come to expect from ConQuesT, such as the great Art Show, Programming, Dealers Room and always excellent Hospitality Suite and some of the funnest people throwing some of the best room parties in the midwest. Also including more open and tournament gaming. And the triumpant return of KANAR! The Live Action Role Playing people.
